Hi,
in the past months it has been really quiet around the relaiXed. The last PCBs are gone for a while now. During that time I have been making plans for a significantly renewed version...

Currently you can preview my new ideas, and give some feedback before freezing the design in PCB. See: http://www.vaneijndhoven.net/jos/relaixed2/index.html

Greetings,
Jos

God, I wish I'd have knewn about RelaiXed a few years ago...

A few questions:

Have you considered using single opamps? This would broaden the number of available parts considerably (including e.g. AD797, AD8099 and many others), but the PCB will not grow in size very much. Since there are more single than dual high-quality audio opamps, it would thus give more freedom in selecting the opamp according to the builders' own preferences.

Another idea, which may be quite "big" at this stage: An alphanumeric display (e.g. 1x16 digits) would enable the indication of both the source and the volume level. If developed further, releasing the sources would allow builders' naming the sources according to their own will.

Are parallel relay boards really needed for individual volume control of the various sources? If I have understood correctly, this means that the last volume setting for each source can not be stored anywhere?

What software are you using in designing the schematic and the PCB?
